Martina Novak Juraić, M.Sc. in physiotherapy and DNS therapist, started her education in Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) in 2014. In DNS, she finds the perfect tool for detecting and correcting faulty movement patterns that can cause or already contribute to various spinal and joint disorders. She participated in the 1st International Course on Coordinative Locomotor Training and is the author of several papers for the permanent improvement of the profession at the Croatian Chamber of Physiotherapists, of which she is a member.
Professional Journey
After graduating from a high school for physiotherapy technicians in Pakrac in 2000, she enrolled in the Physiotherapy study program at the Zagreb Health College, which she completed in 2004 and earned the title of Bachelor of Physiotherapy. After graduation, she began her internship at the Daruvar Spa, where she stayed until 2015. Alongside her job, in 2007, she enrolled in a postgraduate specialist study program in physiotherapy at the Zagreb Health College, which she successfully completed in 2009 with a thesis entitled “Muscular imbalances as a cause of lower back pain,” mentored by Dr. B. Egić. After completing the program, she became a licensed physiotherapist. After moving to Zagreb, she worked at the Zagreb Health Center and the Special Hospital St. Catherine.
Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to working with patients with various musculoskeletal problems and disorders, especially those related to the spine. Her informal education has also focused on spinal issues, completing the 4 levels of the McKenzie concept, the Basic Bobath course, Special Normal Movement, Yumeiho Japanese manual technique, and two levels of Neurodynamics.
