Dean Girotto, MD, PhD, is a graduate physician with extensive experience in the fields of neurosurgery and vertebrology. He serves as the Head of the Neurosurgery Clinic at the Rijeka University Hospital Centre, and is also a Senior Scientific Associate and Associate Professor, as well as the Deputy Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Girotto&#8217;s particular areas of interest include minimally invasive surgical procedures, reconstructive spine surgery, and the treatment of painful spinal syndromes. He continuously pursues professional development in Croatia and abroad, with a focus on vertebrology and spinal surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is an active member of numerous national and international professional societies, including the Croatian Neurosurgical Society, the Croatian Society for Spinal Surgery, and the Neurosurgical Society of South-Eastern Europe. He is also the President of the Medical and Anti-Doping Commission of the Croatian Rowing Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific and professional papers and a two-time recipient of study scholarships from the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County for advanced training in the field of medical sciences.<\/p>\n<\/div><!-- .vgblk-rw-wrapper -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assoc.
