Dr. Tomislav Vlahović, PhD, MD, specialist in orthopedics and traumatology, specialist in general surgery, and subspecialist in plastic surgery

He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb and works for the medical service of the Croatian Football Federation. He is also a physician for the Croatian national football team and a member of the Health Committee of the Croatian Football Federation.

Born on April 21, 1973, in Zagreb, Vlahović completed his primary school and high school education there, and graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in 1997. After completing his internship at the Clinic for Pediatric Surgery, he began his residency in general surgery at the Clinic for Traumatology in Zagreb in 1998, which he completed in 2002. He completed his subspecialization in plastic and reconstructive surgery in 2004 at the Clinic for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at KB Dubrava, and his traumatology subspecialization in 2015 at the Clinic for Traumatology, KBC Sestre milosrdnice in Zagreb. Since 1998, he has worked at the Hand Surgery Unit of the Clinic for Traumatology, KBC Sestre milosrdnice.

Academic Appointments

He is a regular lecturer on AO courses in hand and wrist surgery, collaborates on undergraduate teaching in sports traumatology, and postgraduate teaching in orthopedics and traumatology at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb.

Professional Positions

He is a regular member of the Croatian Society of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery of the Croatian Medical Association and the Secretary of the Croatian Traumatological Society of the Croatian Medical Association. Since 2001, he has been working for the medical service of the Croatian Football Federation, and since 2013, he has been a physician for the Croatian national football team. He is also a member of the Health Committee of the Croatian Football Federation.
