Ante Rotim, MD, PhD, Neurosurgery Specialist

He has published over 20 professional-scientific SCI-Expanded papers so far. He participated in numerous national and international professional conferences, where he gave lectures.

Dr. Ante Rotim, Specialist in Neurosurgery, is a modern physician whose professional path combines top-tier clinical practice, scientific activity, and engagement in sports and diplomacy.

He graduated in 2017 from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rijeka and began his specialization in neurosurgery the following year at the Department of Neurosurgery of the Dubrava University Hospital. He is currently employed as a specialist at the Department of Neurosurgery of the “Sestre milosrdnice” University Hospital Centre, where he daily applies the latest surgical approaches and technologies in treating neurological patients.

His interest in medicine is not confined to the hospital system. Since 2018, he has been actively working as a club physician for the Handball Club PPD Zagreb, and since 2022, as part of the medical team for the Croatian National Handball Team, where he combines his knowledge of neurosurgery, sports medicine, and emergency care.

His professional interest extends to science – he has published over 20 professional and scientific papers indexed in the internationally recognized SCI-Expanded database and is frequently invited as a lecturer at national and international professional conferences. In 2017, he enrolled in the postgraduate doctoral study “Biomedicine and Health” at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Osijek, further deepening his understanding of the scientific foundations of medicine and research work.

In addition to his medical education, he completed the Diplomatic Academy at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, where he expanded his knowledge of international relations and professional communication – skills he now uses in interdisciplinary and international contexts.

Dr. Rotim is fluent in English and German and is distinguished by his excellent communication skills, expertise, ability to make quick decisions under pressure, and extreme dedication to his patients. In his professional work, he upholds high standards of ethics, teamwork, and continuous professional development.

He is an active member of the Croatian Neurosurgical Society, the Croatian Society for Cerebrovascular Neurosurgery, the Society of Neurological Surgeons of South-Eastern Europe (SeENS), and the Croatian Medical Association. His energy, versatility, and dedication make him a representative of a new generation of physicians – those who continuously expand, share, and apply knowledge and experience in the service of medicine and society.
