She completed high school in Šibenik in 2005 and then successfully completed the regular undergraduate nursing program at the Health University in Zagreb. In 2013, she enrolled in the university graduate nursing program at the Medical Faculty in Zagreb, where she became the recipient of the Dean’s award for the best academic performance of the year. She also successfully completed the pedagogical-psychological training at the Teacher Training Faculty in Zagreb (2009) and the Health Management Program at the Expert Business School in Zagreb (2015). She completed her postgraduate doctoral studies in biomedicine and health at the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb.
She is the author and co-author of a large number of professional and scientific papers as well as five professional nursing and medical books. She is a member of the editorial board of the informative newsletter of the Croatian Chamber of Medical Nurses “Blue Focus” and the chief editor of the online magazine “SHOCK” published by the Croatian Society of Nurses for Anesthesia, Resuscitation, Intensive Care, and Transfusion.
She is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Studies of the University Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek and at the Health University in Zagreb.
From October 2016 to 2025, she served as the president of the Branch of the Croatian Chamber of Nurses of the City of Zagreb, and in 2017, she was appointed the Croatian Chief Nursing Officer at the Ministry of Health.
She gained her work experience at the Burn Unit and the Intensive Care Unit of the Clinic for Traumatology and at the Office for Health Care Quality Assurance and Improvement at the Clinical Hospital Sestre milosrdnice, as a senior coordinator for nursing education. In 2018, she was employed at the Teaching Institute of Public Health “Dr. Andrija Štampar”, where she was appointed the Head Nurse and Assistant Director for Nursing. She has been the Director of Polyclinic Rotim since November 2021.
