MRI

Magnet with contrast and without contrast

Our doctors use contrast in cases of unclear morphological results, in order to better distinguish tissue structure. They always do so in agreement with the patient during the examination.

Contrast is mandatory in cases where:

  • The patient has had surgery or a cut in the area being imaged
  • In breast MRI
  • In case of suspicion of a tumor or other diseases.

The use of contrast is very significant in diagnostic tests in radiology, representing the main way of obtaining a more contrasting image of the organs. Contrast is actually a pharmaceutical preparation used all over the world. Currently available contrast agents are generally considered safe, and reactions to them are not common among our patients.
