PROFESSIONAL PATH
After completing elementary school and mathematics high school, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zagreb (1984-1990). Internship – at KBC Zagreb and Vrapče Psychiatric Hospital Zagreb (1990-1991). Since 1992, he has been working at the Vrapče Zagreb Psychiatry Clinic – secondary doctor (1992-1995), resident doctor (1995-1999), specialist psychiatrist (1999-). Completed postgraduate studies in forensic psychiatry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb (1995-1996). Sub-specialist in forensic psychiatry (since 2005) Sub-specialist in addiction or addiction diseases (since 2019).
He has been working at the Vrapče Psychiatric Hospital in Zagreb his entire working life. He worked in almost all hospital clinical departments or institutes (emergency psychiatry, general psychiatry, psychotic and affective disorders for women, extended treatment for men, geriatrics, forensic psychiatry, alcoholism and other addictions, dual disorders, polyclinic service). He participated in various educational processes at the Clinic for Psychiatry (exercises, seminars, lectures).
As a court expert for forensic psychiatry, he independently prepared more than 300 forensic court expertises. Participated in several research pharmacological studies (Psychiatric Clinic Vrapče Zagreb, Diabetes Clinic Vuk Vrhovac Zagreb).
In clinical outpatient work, he deals with problems from all types of reactive states, crisis states, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, addictions, family and partner relationships.
He participated in numerous national and international congresses, published several professional and scientific papers, held a series of professional lectures.
He is a member of several local professional associations: Croatian Psychiatric Association, Croatian Medical Association, Croatian Catholic Medical Association.
