Dr. Vedrana Peček was born in 1972 in Varaždin and has lived and worked in Poreč since 2004. She graduated from the School of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 1998. She began her specialization in neurology in 2009 at the General Hospital Pula, completing it in 2013 at the Department of Neurology, University Hospital Center Rijeka. Since then, she has worked continuously as a neurologist in the Department of Neurology of the General Hospital Pula, where she is dedicated to a broad spectrum of neurological conditions.

In the same year she completed her specialization, she also enrolled in the postgraduate scientific study of Biomedicine and Health at the School of Medicine, University of Rijeka, further solidifying her commitment to a scientific approach and continuous professional development.

A particular area of interest for Dr. Peček is neuromuscular diseases. During 2015 and 2016, she underwent additional training in clinical electromyoneurography at the Reference Center for Neuromuscular Diseases, Department of Neurology, University Hospital Center Zagreb (Rebro). Since 2017, she has been actively caring for neuromuscular patients in Istria County, providing a high level of diagnostics and care in this specific segment of neurology. She passed the subspecialty exam in neuromuscular diseases in 2021.

In addition to her expertise and rich clinical experience, her work is characterized by thoroughness, a high level of professional responsibility, collegiality, and respect for patients and colleagues. She is capable of making quick and precise decisions in daily neurological emergencies, making her highly reliable in team and clinical environments.

She speaks English and German and is an active member of the Croatian Medical Chamber, the Croatian Medical Association, and the Croatian Neurological Society.
